Commercial building Gemert

Commercial building Gemert – Rijsouw is a metal recycling company located in Gemert. Due to a lack of space, IHC architects designed a commercial building adjusted to the new requirements. In 2013 the construction of the building was completed. The premises is located on ‘Wolfsveld 2’, the new industrial zone of Gemert.

The commercial building is strict but beautifully designed and asked for a clear concept. The restrictions imposed are seized in color and volume variations to add only one architectural accent to the rectangular volume. The volume materialized with white stucco is the office area and is located at the front of the building. The broad view is being realized by the transparent opening on the corner of the façade. A striking accent in the façade is the glass façade that frames the office. The awning provides sun protection and also a representative look and feel.

To add attention to the office part, this section has been given a gloomy touch. Due to heavy traffic, an extra high concrete plinth has been used to serve as protection against dirt and sand. Large skylights provide sufficient daylight in the hall.
