Renovation ruïn in Italy – This beautiful area with ruin is located in the northwest of Italy, about 100 km from the port city of Genoa. Because of the harsh winters, this ruin could be lost to nature forever. This particular beauty was noticed by a Dutch family with a dream to live there.

With all due respect to the original building, this building has been turned into a fully equipped villa. At the rear of the building a new building volume has been risen. This is characterized by the sleek materialization of white stucco. On the ground floor the living room connected to the open kitchen has been situated. This space with outdoor kitchen is characterized by its large sliding doors. This creates a subtle connection between the two existing buildings. The other transparent windows also provide a respectable connection between new and old. The orientation of the construction on the first floor lends itself perfectly for a workshop. The upper floors are fully available as a roof terrace. These terraces are accessible by stairs located outside the building. This allows a perfect experience for both the ruin as the beautiful view on the surroundings.
